He leads the agency's national effort to provide effective and accessible treatment to all Americans with addictive disorders. Dr. Clark is a noted author and educator in substance abuse treatment, anger and pain management, psychopharmacology, and medical and legal issues. | | | | | | John F. Kelly, PhD is the Elizabeth R. Spallin Associate Professor of Psychiatry in Addiction Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is also the Program Director of the Addiction Recovery Management Service (ARMS), Director of the Recovery Research Institute (RRI; www.recoveryanswers.org) and Associate Director of the Center for Addiction Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). He has over two decades of professional experience in leading national drug and HIV-related research, practice, and policy initiatives for NIDA, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) where, before coming back to NIDA, he served as the Chief of the Prevention Branch. | | | | | | Melissa McCoy is a media consultant for EIC’s TEAM Up (which offers tools for the media to use in reporting on mental health issues) and has trained more than 150 journalists in California newsrooms about mental health stigma and reporting. She is a former deputy managing editor and assistant managing editor at the L.A. Times. She was an ethics fellow at The Poynter Institute and has served as an editing and ethics instructor at the Maynard Institute. | | | | | | Scott Libin is a Senior Fellow at the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
